The very first ride, the engine fired up first turn of the the key with my std Toyo ECU (true). The driver is my Machinist (I'm grounded due to high doses of Morphine because of Bone Cancer which I've had since May 2005, but I've done most of the work on the car up until late 2007 when I've had to call for help with assembly, machining, brakes, plumbing and electrics. Just now this extends to painting and trimming. My docs still don't believe it as they gave me until May last year. See, proves these Clubbies are really good for you and your health!!!
The std Toyo Corolla 1zzfe (with chopped sump) clocked 6800 rpm in 3rd before the factory limiter cut in. Hard to judge speed as there was so much happening!!!!!!!!! Guess around 85/90 kph. Bit worried about the guy hiding behind the AUSSIE POST box on such a busy street though.
Quite a bit of stuff left over from the build that might be of interest to others including a Nissan SKYLINE Rear Axle with BWarner LSD center (as used by Holden) 4:1 ratio, all fully reconditioned with all new bearings and seals C/W calipers and HD axles. I'll make a list to add to the Blog in the next week or so as the shed cleaning progresses. Watch this space.
